We’re proud to share that Prelude Solutions has officially earned WBENC recertification for the eighth consecutive year. As a certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE), this accomplishment represents more than a checkmark on a list, it’s a powerful affirmation of our commitment to diversity, equity, and using business as a force for good.
Over the past eight years, our WBENC certification has connected us to a vibrant ecosystem of women-owned businesses, supplier diversity champions, and corporate partners who believe in building a more inclusive economy. This network has become an integral part of who we are, influencing how we grow, who we work with, and how we give back.
A Network That Creates Impact
The WBENC network has not only opened doors, but it has also opened minds. We’ve formed relationships with forward-thinking companies who are prioritizing supplier diversity and seeking out women-owned businesses to collaborate with. We’ve had the opportunity to learn, lead, and listen at conferences, matchmaking events, and peer forums, and every interaction has helped shape our journey.
At the heart of our experience with WBENC are the connections we’ve built. The relationships we’ve developed over the years, with fellow WBEs, corporate members, and nonprofit organizations, are among the most rewarding outcomes of our certification. These connections have turned into partnerships, friendships, and collective efforts to drive meaningful change in our communities and industries.
The People Behind the Certification
Earning and maintaining WBENC certification takes dedication and teamwork. We want to recognize the incredible efforts of our CEO Cate Heaman, who has led with authenticity and purpose from the start, and Corporate Relations Manager Kristen Riley, who plays a key role in keeping us connected and engaged with the WBENC network.
Their leadership ensures we not only meet the standards required for certification, but that we also actively participate in the mission of WBENC, advancing opportunities for women entrepreneurs and helping shape a more inclusive business landscape.
Certification in Action
For us, WBENC certification isn’t just something we list on a capability statement, it’s embedded in our values and shows up in how we operate. Whether it’s supporting diverse vendors, sponsoring WBENC events, giving back to fellow WBEs, or mentoring emerging women-owned businesses, we do our best to show up and support the network that has supported us.
This commitment also shows through initiatives like our Prelude Cares Network, where we give a portion of revenue back to nonprofits, and to WBEC-East. Our work is about more than technology solutions; it’s about making sure our success positively impacts others.
Looking Ahead
As we celebrate eight years of WBENC certification, we’re filled with gratitude, for the opportunities we’ve had, the people we’ve met, and the growth we’ve experienced along the way.
We remain committed to doing the work, building the relationships, and pushing for progress alongside the incredible women and allies in this network. Thank you to WBENC, WBEC-East, and to our team and partners who have supported us on this journey.
Here’s to continuing to raise the bar, support one another, and drive lasting impact, together.
